Below are suggestions for June travel destinations featuring beautiful natural landscapes and engaging experiences with locals that travelers can consider.
Quan Lan, Quang Ninh
Quan Lan Island, Quang Ninh, located in Bai Tu Long Bay, is an ideal destination that attracts tourists with its stunning, pristine landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and long stretches of white sandy beaches. Quan Lan is most beautiful in the summer, especially from April to the end of June, when the sky is clear, temperatures are not too hot, and there are no storms. Being in the bay, the sea route to the island usually has no large waves, allowing for quick travel and reducing concerns about seasickness.
Quan Lan Island boasts many beautiful beaches such as Bai Minh Chau, Bai Robinson, Bai Rua, Bai Tam Tien, and Bai Quan Lan. Bai Minh Chau has the finest white sand, making it always crowded. Bai Robinson, located between Bai Son Hao and Minh Chau, features a pristine beach with a resort nestled among lush pine forests. Quan Lan also offers a variety of fresh seafood, including intriguingly named dishes like sa sung, ca ghim, and cu ky.

Ngoc Vung Island, Quang Ninh
If you wish to experience a simple life on a northern island in June, Ngoc Vung is the right destination. Ngoc Vung Island, part of the Van Don Special Zone (Quang Ninh), spans about 45km² with 8 land islands and hundreds of surrounding rocky islands. According to the Quang Ninh Provincial Electronic Portal, the sea area here was once abundant with pearl oysters. At night, the light emitted from the pearls illuminated the entire sea, leading locals to call it Ngoc Vung.
The island's population is sparse, with livelihoods tied to the sea, aquaculture, and agriculture. In recent years, the locals have expanded into tourism services.
A must-see highlight for visitors to Ngoc Vung is the Truong Chinh beach, with its clear waters and flat, white sand stretching nearly 3km and spanning almost 200m, curving like a crescent moon. The island offers a variety of fresh and delicious seafood such as cu ky, squid, and clams. However, accommodation and dining services on the island are still limited. Visitors coming on weekends should book rooms in advance.
Go Co Village, Quang Ngai
Go Co Village is an attractive stop within the Sa Huynh Cultural Special National Monument (Quang Ngai), suitable for travelers looking to explore the rustic yet warm coastal village life. The village is known as the "many no" village, with no bustling shops, many homes without air conditioning, and no televisions.
Previously, locals primarily lived by fishing, gardening, and handicrafts. Now, they collaborate to develop tourism, open homestays, and become "local tour guides" sharing village stories and teaching traditional crafts to visitors.
The homestays in the village are established based on criteria agreed upon by the villagers. Accordingly, the host must be a native, with at least three generations living in the village, to participate in the lodging business.
Visitors are treated like family members, sharing meals and experiences with the locals. In the village, guests can enjoy unique dishes such as lưỡi long (a type of cactus) cooked with fish, shrimp, and salads; and seafood delicacies like nhum rolls, squid leaves, oyster soup, and fish skin salad.

Lo Lo Chai and Then Pa Villages, Tuyen Quang
In the sweltering mid-June of the North, many areas in Tuyen Quang (formerly Ha Giang) still enjoy cool, fresh climates. Visitors can stay and experience life in two villages located at the foot of the Lung Cu Flagpole: Lo Lo Chai and Then Pa.
The entire Lo Lo Chai village consists of over 120 households, mainly of the Lo Lo ethnic group, with about half offering homestay services. Houses in Lo Lo Chai are all traditional earthen houses, some dating back several decades to over 200 years.
In Lo Lo Chai, visitors can immerse themselves in the peaceful atmosphere and engage in the daily life of the Lo Lo ethnic people. They can participate in activities such as linen weaving, corn planting, traditional wine brewing, and enjoy local specialties like thang co, smoked buffalo meat, bamboo-tube rice, and corn wine.
Separated by only a few hundred meters, the two villages share similar architecture with earthen houses, yin-yang tile roofs, and stone fences, but Then Pa exudes a more tranquil vibe. It is the long-standing residence of 12 households, all members of the Vang clan. The closed family structure helps Then Pa preserve its original lifestyle.
Here, visitors can engage in various activities such as drawing beeswax on linen, indigo dyeing, making corn cakes, and horseback riding tours...
