Dynamic experiences await at the Republic of Korea Webtoon Exhibition K-COMICS Origin Vietnam
WVR - The Republic of Korea Cultural Center in Vietnam, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea and the Korea Creative Content Agency, is organizing the Republic of Korea Webtoon Exhibition (K-COMICS Origin Vietnam) from June 30 to August 28.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Republic of Korea Cultural Center in Vietnam (2006-2026), this exhibition introduces three popular Republic of Korea webtoons in Vietnam, including Toi thang cap mot minh (Solo Leveling); Song sot voi tu cach dau bep cua Yeonsangun and Trung tam cham soc chan thuong: Golden Hour.
Notably, the webtoon Song sot voi tu cach dau bep cua Yeonsangun has been adapted into a television series titled Ngu tru cua bao chua, featuring actors Lim Yoona and Lee Chae Min.
The series began airing in Vietnam in August 2025, quickly topping the Netflix Vietnam charts and maintaining the number one position for four consecutive weeks.
Additionally, Toi thang cap mot minh (Solo Leveling) is a renowned webtoon with a total of 14.3 billion views globally (as of 2024), including in Vietnam. The webtoon Trung tam cham soc chan thuong: Golden Hour has also been adapted into a film and ranked number one on Netflix's global non-English TV show chart.
As a result, following the resounding success of these television series, the original webtoon series are increasingly sought after and attracting audience interest.
This K-webtoon exhibition showcases works of various genres, including animations and TV series, with distinct spaces that offer visitors the sensation of stepping directly into the webtoon world.
Visitors can take photos with webtoon characters, create webtoon dialogues, and engage in numerous exciting activities related to the exhibited works.
To recreate character depth and enhance the exhibition's vibrancy, the exhibition space includes large graphic walls, life-sized character models, and large illustrated panels for each scene, giving viewers the feeling of becoming the main character in a comic.
Additionally, the exhibition space features video screens with dynamic sound and displays of memorabilia from films adapted from webtoon works.
The Solo Leveling webtoon exhibition space includes an introduction to the main characters and guilds, a 3D interactive experience area, and a "Hunter" photo card printing experience.
The Song sot voi tu cach dau bep cua Yeonsangun exhibition space includes: a character introduction area, a display area for royal culinary models, an experience area for printing "Gourmet Prescription" cards, a screen showing original images from the TV series, and a display area for film memorabilia.
The Trung tam cham soc chan thuong: Golden Hour exhibition space includes an introduction area for webtoon characters and a memorabilia display.
Within the exhibition's framework, the Republic of Korea Cultural Center is also organizing many exciting programs such as Meet the Republic of Korea Webtoon Authors, experience cooking dishes from the film Ngu tru cua bao chua, create character designs, create webtoon dialogues, and a workshop on creating webtoons using artificial intelligence (AI).
The opening ceremony and Meet the Republic of Korea Webtoon Authors program will be held on June 30 at the Republic of Korea Cultural Center in Vietnam. Vietnamese audiences will have the opportunity to meet author Hong Bichira, the webtoon author of Trung tam cham soc chan thuong: Golden Hour, and share stories about webtoons and the process of creating webtoon works in the medical field. Notably, the author will present a "drawing show" for lucky audiences during the program.
Throughout the exhibition's official opening from July 1 to August 28, visitors can participate in various experiential activities such as: "My Webtoon Character" – creatively designing characters using stickers, "My Webtoon Dialogue" – creating webtoon dialogues and crafting your own webtoon, "I Am a Chef" – experiencing cooking dishes from the film Ngu tru cua bao chua, and "Creating Webtoons with AI" – an activity for beginners in webtoon creation.

“This Republic of Korea Webtoon Exhibition is organized on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Republic of Korea Cultural Center in Vietnam to introduce famous Republic of Korea webtoon works loved in Vietnam.
The works displayed in this exhibition are all successful webtoons after being adapted into games, animations, TV series, etc. Through this, I hope this will be an opportunity for the Republic of Korea and Vietnamese webtoon industries to expand and strengthen cooperation in the future.”
The exhibition is part of the project supported by the Korea Creative Content Agency, expected to be held at seven locations, including Vietnam (end of June), followed by the United States (Los Angeles), Indonesia, Argentina, Mexico, Hong Kong (China), and Poland.
