On September 17, as part of their visit to Greece, the State Treasury delegation from the Ministry of Finance, led by Mr. Luu Hoang, Head of the Treasury Management Department, visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Greece.
During the meeting, Mr. Luu Hoang, head of the State Treasury delegation, expressed gratitude to the Vietnamese Embassy for facilitating the delegation's activities during the visit.
During the visit from September 16–21, the delegation will meet with Greece's Public Debt Management Agency and the Bank of Greece to exchange and share information on public debt structure, learn from Greece's experiences in public debt management, capital mobilization, and government bond portfolio management, risk analysis and management, investor development, and coordination between state treasury management and government bond capital mobilization with monetary policy operations...

Sharing about the delegation's agenda, Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong noted that Greece has recently implemented policies on public debt management, taxation, and leveraging both domestic and international resources for development.
The first official exchange activity between the State Treasury delegation and Greece will pave the way for closer cooperation between the two countries' specialized agencies, contributing to more effective and substantial Vietnam–Greece relations, especially in 2025 when the two countries celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations.
Over the past 50 years, the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Greece has continuously developed positively. The special affection of the Greek people for Vietnam and the similarities in history and culture provide a foundation for the two countries to further strengthen cooperation in the future.
