Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam holds seminar on post-Iran conflict scenarios and impacts

WVR - On the morning of April 6, the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) held a scientific Seminar with the theme “The World After the Iran Conflict: Scenarios and Impacts”. The Seminar was chaired by Dr. Nguyen Hung Son, President of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.

The seminar e was attended by more than 50 delegates, including former leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, former Ambassadors, scientists, and researchers from various ministries, agencies, and research centers.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Hung Son emphasized that the conflict in Iran and the Middle East is having multifaceted impacts on the regional and global landscape, including Vietnam. He urged the speakers and researchers to focus on thoroughly evaluating the current situation in the Middle East and potential future scenarios, as well as the consequences for the regional and global landscape, including impacts on Vietnam.

In this spirit, the delegates and speakers presented numerous papers and opinions, offering substantive evaluations at the conference. They focused on deeply and comprehensively analyzing the origins and prospects of the conflict in Iran, highlighting the unique historical and religious factors of the region, as well as the motivations of the involved nations. They also provided forecasts for short-term and medium-to-long-term conflict scenarios.

The delegates also analyzed various aspects of the conflict's impacts on the Middle East region and the global landscape, thereby suggesting several policy implications for Vietnam.

Organizing scientific seminars on current regional and international topics is a regular activity of the Diplomatic Academy. It aims to make a positive contribution to research, advisory, and foreign policy forecasting efforts, supporting the implementation of the 14th National Party Congress's directive to prioritize foreign affairs and international integration as essential and regular tasks.
