In a friendly atmosphere, the two leaders highly valued the development of their long-standing traditional friendship, which has spanned 75 years (1950-2025), and agreed that both countries have significant potential and favorable opportunities to elevate their relations to new heights.
Expressing appreciation for Poland's valuable support in Vietnam's nation-building and development efforts, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son proposed close cooperation to effectively implement the outcomes of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit to Poland in January 2025. He also suggested promoting high-level delegation exchanges as the two countries celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations.
The Deputy Prime Minister also called on the Polish Parliament to swiftly ratify the Vietnam-EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) and to advocate for the European Commission to lift the "yellow card" on Vietnamese seafood.
For his part, Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski affirmed that Poland always regards Vietnam as an important partner in Southeast Asia. He personally has had profound and impressive experiences with Vietnam and its people.
The Polish Deputy Prime Minister proposed that the two countries continue to enhance cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, investment, labour, science and technology, education and training, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.
Both sides also agreed to maintain close coordination and mutual support at multilateral forums, while discussing a number of international and regional issues of mutual concern.
