Professor Zhu Zhenmin is the Honorary Director of the South Asia-Southeast Asia Research Institute at the Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences (China).

According to this expert, as Vietnam's role and position in the region and on the international stage are increasingly affirmed, the country's foreign policy has been proactive, substantive, and achieved many positive outcomes.

Specifically, in recent years, Vietnam's diplomatic activities have become more vibrant, with the frequency and depth of exchanges and interactions with countries and international organizations continuously increasing.

Since 2015, especially in recent times, Vietnam has vigorously promoted high-level visits and contacts, as well as expanded bilateral and multilateral cooperation frameworks, clearly demonstrating the proactive stance of Vietnam's senior leaders in strengthening and expanding foreign relations.

From a regional perspective, Vietnam has clearly prioritized diplomacy with neighboring countries, maintaining and developing stable relations with Laos, Cambodia, and China.

Additionally, Vietnam has shown a flexible and balanced approach in its relations with major powers. Currently, both China and the United States are comprehensive strategic partners of Vietnam.

According to Professor Zhu Zhenmin, this not only brings practical benefits in terms of economy, politics, and security but also enhances Vietnam's position and role in a region undergoing significant changes.

Within ASEAN, Vietnam's position is increasingly affirmed. Vietnam not only actively participates in ASEAN's cooperation mechanisms but also proactively proposes many initiatives related to regional issues.

Vietnam's opinions and recommendations at ASEAN meetings are increasingly receiving consensus and positive evaluations from member countries, reflecting Vietnam's growing prominence in the Southeast Asian community.

Globally, Vietnam's relations with countries and international organizations continue to expand. Vietnam has been elected to participate in many important United Nations mechanisms, including the UN Human Rights Council.

Professor Zhu Zhenmin notes that Vietnam's assumption of these roles demonstrates international recognition of the country's efforts and achievements in socio-economic development, as well as in ensuring and promoting human rights.

Notably, Vietnam's continued broad support at the UN Human Rights Council is seen as a significant achievement. The support from the majority of countries reflects a more realistic, objective, and balanced international perspective on Vietnam's human rights situation.

The Chinese scholar affirms that Vietnam's diplomatic activities in recent years have achieved many positive and commendable results.

Vietnam persists in its independent, self-reliant foreign policy, diversifying and multilateralizing international relations; proactively and actively integrating comprehensively and deeply into the international community.

This policy aligns with the spirit of the Party Congresses, contributing to creating a favorable international environment for the country's development path towards socialism.

Notably, these diplomatic achievements further pave the way for successfully achieving development goals in the upcoming 14th Congress term – a congress advancing into a new era.
