Starting with small steps

Located at Lot D3A, Ea Dar Industrial Cluster, Ea Kar District, Dak Lak, Viet Thang Production - Trading - Service Co., Ltd. operates in the production and trade of footwear, boots, and labor-protection products.

It is known that Viet Thang's journey began in 2001 with a footwear production facility in Cuc Hamlet, Ea Kmut Commune. In the early days, the enterprise started with a small amount of capital, a manual plastic shoe press, and eight untrained workers. From these limited conditions, the facility both produced and learned, accumulating experience and gradually perfecting its operational processes.

On December 31, 2004, the production facility was transformed into Viet Thang Production - Trading - Service Co., Ltd., with a factory located in Ea Dar Industrial Cluster. This marked an important milestone, opening a new phase of development for the enterprise. Behind this process of formation lies the perseverance, determination, and daring spirit of the enterprise's leader, Nguyen Thi Dung.

In the field of footwear and labor protection equipment production, product quality, durability, convenience, and the ability to meet the needs of different customer groups are crucial factors.

Recognizing this, Viet Thang has gradually invested in infrastructure, expanded factory scale, and upgraded equipment. According to information on the company's website, the factory is equipped with a system comprising seven workshops, production teams, three raw material warehouses, and numerous machines for producing footwear, boots, and plastic products.

The company's total investment in machinery and equipment exceeds 100 billion VND, with a designed capacity of over 6 million product pairs annually. Notably, the innovation process not only focuses on scale expansion but also on improving production methods, enhancing automation, and increasing operational efficiency. Currently, Viet Thang has gradually transitioned from manual to semi-automated and automated production, thereby improving productivity, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality.

Building a brand from the real needs of consumers

One of Viet Thang's standout product lines is protective boots, alongside footwear products serving agriculture, industry, fisheries, and daily living needs.

In the Central Highlands market, where a significant proportion of the workforce is engaged in agriculture, protective boots, sandals, and shoes play a practical role in supporting workers in wet, muddy conditions or when foot protection is needed.

The company states that the Viet Thang boot brand features an elephant logo and offers a variety of products for different industries. From the local market, products have gradually been distributed to many provinces and cities nationwide. The company currently has a network of over 300 agents across the country.

Developing the distribution network not only helps expand the market but also allows the company to more directly access consumer needs, preferences, and feedback.

Aspiring to bring Vietnamese products to the international market

In the context of increasingly deep economic integration, expanding export markets is a direction many domestic manufacturing enterprises are focusing on.

For Viet Thang, in addition to the domestic market, the company has gradually introduced its products to neighboring markets such as Laos, Cambodia, and China, and aims to enter markets with higher requirements.

Entrepreneur Nguyen Thi Dung stated that the company has made strides in its export activities, including access to the U.S. market. This direction poses increasingly high demands on quality, production processes, product standards, and competitive capacity. To maintain growth momentum, the company needs to continue investing in technology, perfecting management systems, and enhancing its ability to meet the requirements of each market.

Not only focusing on production and business activities, Viet Thang is also noted for its contributions to the local socio-economic life. The company currently provides stable employment for nearly 200 local workers. This is a meaningful contribution for a manufacturing enterprise located in Ea Kar District, where the development of industrial facilities plays a role in creating livelihoods and promoting the local economy.

Over more than two decades of growth, Viet Thang has transformed from a small production facility into an enterprise with a factory, machinery, and an extensive distribution network.

For entrepreneur Nguyen Thi Dung, the road ahead is not only about expanding scale but also about enhancing product quality, improving technology, developing human resources, and increasing market competitiveness.

It is also a journey that helps bring Vietnamese-branded products closer to domestic consumers and gradually reach international markets.
