
Bac Ninh: Private sector urged to become the key driver of innovation and creativity

In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan said that the event holds significant importance in the context of the country’s ongoing efforts to implement major directives and policies set by the Party and State on comprehensive national development. These include the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, as well as Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on the development of the private sector economy.
Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan emphasized: “Bac Ninh consistently upholds the view that private enterprises—especially those in the science and technology sector—must become the key driving force in innovation, in the application of high technology, and in creating sustainable value.”
According to the provincial Chairman, in recent years, the community of private enterprises specialized on science and technology in Bac Ninh has grown steadily. Many companies have boldly invested in research and development (R&D), applying advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), digital technology, biotechnology, and automation.
Therefore, they have significantly contributed to the modernization of production, increased labor productivity, and the development of a knowledge-based economy in the province.
As of 2024, Bac Ninh Province is home to 24,877 enterprises, with a total registered charter capital of VND 430,450.85 billion and 6,610 affiliated units. The ratio of enterprises to population in the province stands at 1.6%, equivalent to 16 enterprises per 1,000 people.
Between 2020 and 2024, the province has an average of 2,947 newly established businesses per year.
Over the past five years, the number of businesses has increased by approximately 10–15% annually, reflecting strong investment attraction and growing confidence from the business community in Bac Ninh’s business environment.

At the event, witnessed by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, Bac Ninh presented investment registration certificates to seven outstanding enterprises. Among them, three domestic investors received approval to implement industrial park infrastructure development and business projects, with a total investment capital of VND 4,182 billion (equivalent to USD 167 million).
In addition, the province granted investment certificates to two foreign investors with a total investment capital of USD 50 million, and approved capital increases for two existing enterprises, with an additional registered capital of USD 639.1 million.
"Altogether, today Bac Ninh has issued investment certificates with a total value exceeding USD 856.1 million. From the beginning of 2025 to date, the total registered investment capital has reached USD 2.4 billion. These are impressive figures, reflecting Bac Ninh’s continued appeal and solidifying its reputation as an ideal destination for major domestic and international investors," emphasized Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee.
To maintain its status as an attractive investment destination, Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan affirmed that the province will continue to promote administrative reform, and build a digital and service-oriented provincial government in the near future.

At the same time, Bac Ninh will focus on developing a comprehensive innovation ecosystem, fostering connections between enterprises and institutes, universities, and experts both at home and abroad. The province aims to create favorable conditions for businesses to access technological, financial, infrastructure, and high-quality human resources.

We always regard businesses as the center, the driving force of development, and our partners in the process of integration and sustainable growth," affirmed the Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee.
At the event, Bac Ninh officially launched five Liaison Committees of Science and Technology Business Associations operating in the province. This marks an important step toward building a comprehensive science and technology ecosystem, where businesses are connected, can exchange and share experiences, and accompany one another on the path of innovation and development.
