Participants said tourism exchange between member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and China, Japan and the RoK has been strongly hit by the pandemic.

The ASEAN+3 countries proposed a number of measures to recover the sector such as helping each other hold online events, enhancing tourism promotion campaigns in the region, surveying tourists and welcoming visitors in the region and the world when conditions allow.

According to the VNAT, Viet Nam will work closely with all member states to carry out the ASEAN+3 Tourism Cooperation Work Plan for the 2021-2025 period to revitalise the sector.
