WVR - On the morning of October 12, as part of the activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945–2025), the Vietnamese Embassy in Iran, in collaboration with the Asian Mayors Forum, Tehran city authorities, and Tehran Urban Railway Company, organized a photo exhibition themed "Vietnam: Eternal Beauty and Vitality" at Tajrish subway station in Tehran's capital.

The Exhibition showcases over 20 notable photos highlighting Vietnam's land, people, and culture – from famous landmarks like Ha Long, Ninh Binh, Da Nang, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, to everyday moments, traditional festivals, and the beauty of modern cities.

Held at Tajrish subway station – one of Tehran's largest transportation hubs, the exhibition offers tens of thousands of daily commuters the opportunity to admire and experience the beauty of Vietnam, from everyday moments to traditional festivals, cultural heritage, and Vietnam's majestic natural landscapes.

In his speech, Vietnamese Ambassador to Iran Nguyen Luong Ngoc affirmed that this is one of the meaningful activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of National Day, showcasing images of Vietnam where tradition and modernity blend, where beauty is created not only from nature and landscapes but from the vibrant energy and vitality of the Vietnamese people.

With over 17.5 million international visitors in 2024, and an expected 23 million in 2025, the Ambassador emphasized: "Vietnam is increasingly asserting its position as one of Asia's top destinations. We warmly welcome Iranian tourists to visit Vietnam to personally experience the beauty, hospitality, vibrant energy, and resilient spirit of the Vietnamese land and people."

Today's event is not just a cultural activity but also a bridge of friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and Iran – two nations with ancient civilizations, valuing peace and looking towards a future of cooperation and mutual understanding."

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Hamidreza Gholamzadeh, Director of Foreign Affairs for Tehran city authorities, shared: "Through the exhibition, the Iranian people will have the opportunity to learn more about the beautiful country of Vietnam, its culture, landscapes, and its dynamically developing cities. We believe that in the near future, there will be more cultural exchanges, further strengthening the friendship between Iran and Vietnam."

The photo exhibition attracts a large number of people and media agencies.

Mr. Saeed Lotfi, General Director of Tehran Urban Railway Company, expressed his honour that Tajrish station was chosen as the venue, emphasizing: "Iran has over 40 years of experience in developing and operating subway systems. Tehran alone currently has 9 metro lines with a total length of 500 km; Tajrish station serves about 40,000 passengers daily. With such passenger traffic, the exhibition will undoubtedly help many Iranians learn more about Vietnam – a friendly country rich in cultural identity."

The event attracted a large number of people and media agencies. Many Iranians expressed their interest and curiosity upon seeing many beautiful images of a culturally rich Vietnam, with a vibrant and thriving lifestyle.

The photos of Vietnam displayed at Tajrish Metro station will continue to be open for viewing for the next three weeks.
