Ambassador Tuan said the two countries should push for the signing of an agreement on education cooperation to facilitate the exchange of students.
For his part, Governor Ivo Vondrak highly valued traditional cooperation between the Moravian-Silesian Region and Vietnam and briefed his guest on the region’s strength such as education, mining and auto manufacturing.
On this occasion, Mr. Tuan met with representatives of the Vietnamese Association in the Moravian-Silesian Region and its capital city of Ostrava, and Vietnamese businesses. He also joined the mid-autumn festival of Vietnamese children in the locality.
About 800 Vietnamese are living in the Moravian-Silesian Region with one third of them holding the Czech nationality.
