91% of Vietnamese COVID-19 cases make full recovery from SARs-CoV-2 virus

A further four novel coronavirus (COVID-19) patients were discharged from hospital on June 2, raising Vietnam’s total number of recoveries to 297 out of overall 328 patients, making up a recovery rate of 91% of all confirmed cases.

The recently released cases were all Vietnamese citizens who had been repatriated from coronavirus hit Russia and were immediately placed into quarantine upon entering the country.

Following each of their recoveries, the group of patients was successfully discharged from the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi after recording several consecutive negative tests for the COVID-19.

They are now in stable health conditions and displaying no symptoms of the virus, such as a fever, a cough, or shortness of breath.

Each of the individuals will now be placed into isolation in order to undergo a mandatory 14-day observation period to ensure there is no possibility of the virus reoccurring.

As of June 2, the country has gone over 47 consecutive days without any locally transmitted COVID-19 cases. Moreover, 297 people out of a total of 328 COVID-19 cases have since gone on to make a full recovery from the virus across the country, equivalent to 91% of all patients, with no deaths as a result of the virus.
