Vietnamese Community Football Tournament in Japan commemorates President Ho Chi Minh's birthday

The tournament was organized by the Vietnam-Japan International Exchange Organization (FAVIJA) under the auspices of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Osaka.
This is part of a series of cultural and sports exchange activities of the Vietnamese community in Japan, commemorating the 136th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh.
27 amateur teams were selected from nearly 40 registered teams. Notably, many teams included Japanese players for exchange. The teams were divided into 7 groups, playing in a round-robin format before entering knockout matches held simultaneously on 8 fields.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Consul General in Osaka Nguyen Truong Son expressed his delight at the growing strength of the Vietnamese community in Japan in general and the Kansai region in particular.
The Consul General emphasized that the tournament is not only a healthy sports activity that enhances community solidarity and promotes exchange with local residents but also serves as a tribute, expressing reverence for President Ho Chi Minh.

According to Consul General Nguyen Truong Son, participating in sports training is also a way to follow President Ho Chi Minh's teaching: “Exercising and improving health is the duty of every patriot.”
The tournament took place in a lively, united, and friendly atmosphere between the Vietnamese community and Japanese residents. After a day of exciting competition, FC T-Connect Binh Dinh won the championship.
FC Thanh Hoa Osaka claimed the runner-up position. The two teams sharing third place were FC IGA and FC 73 HD Telecom.

The organizers also awarded individual prizes, including the Top Scorer title to Jonathan Oshiro (FC J-Connect), Best Goalkeeper to Le Quoc Hieu, and Best Player to Pablo Miura, all from FC T-Connect Binh Dinh.
Mr. Do Quang Ba, President of FAVIJA, stated that the top four teams in the tournament will qualify to participate in the National Vietnamese Football Championship in Japan, scheduled for mid-November in the capital, Tokyo.
