At 2pm (local time), operated by Bamboo Airways, the flight carrying 300 passengers, including 18 infants, took off from the Frederik Chopin Airport (Warsaw, Poland) to return to Viet Nam.

This is the second repatriation flight fully funded by the State and Government, with the purpose of bringing home Vietnamese people evacuating from war-ravaged Ukraine.

All passengers are in the priority category, such as: the elderly, children, pregnant women, the sick, students, or people in difficulty and distress.

The flight safely landed at Ha Noi’s Noi Bai International Airport at 6:40 am on March 10.

Previously, as planned, the flight would take off at 12 am (local time) with an expected number of 270 passengers. However, by that time, the total number of passengers had reached 282 adults and 16 infants. The airline was flexible in time afterwards to cover the maximum number of Vietnamese citizens evacuated from Ukraine, even though the plane departed 2 hours later than planned.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Nguyen Hung said that in recent days, the embassy’s officials have closely reviewed the list of registered citizens and criteria, ensuring that the flight brings the right people back home, without wasting any seats.

The flight safely landed at Ha Noi’s Noi Bai International Airport at 6:40 am on March 10.

Ambassador Nguyen Hung said that the Embassy soon made a list of people who wished to return home from the beginning. Up to now, more than 1,000 people have registered for repatriation flights.

Regarding the possibility of organizing the next flights from Poland, the Ambassador informed that "We will continuously update the list and report to the authorities. Hopefully, there will soon be specific instructions on next flight from Poland, to meet the expectations".

Ambassador Nguyen Hung said that the Embassy and Vietnamese associations in Poland have made good preparations to successfully and smoothly organize repatriation flights as soon as they are allowed.
