Vietnam’s chess masters bag medals from Asian tournament for juniors
Vietnamese chess masters grabbed more golds at the Asian Youth Chess Championships which closed on June 21 in Kazakhstan.

Ly Kha Han topped the Girls' U8 category with eight points after nine matches on June 20.
Han successfully secured an unbeaten record with seven wins and two draws.
In the Girls' U12 class, Vietnamese players took one silver and one bronze by Nguyen Minh Chi and Tran Le Vy, respectively.
In the Girls' U18, Nguyen Hong Nhung bagged silver.
In the Boys' categories, only Dau Khuong Duy could enter the top three as he took bronze in the U18 pool.
Earlier, Le Vy triumphed in the standard chess event on June 19 at the Almaty tournament.
Playing in the Girls' U12 class, Vy grabbed 7.5 points from nine matches to top the podium.
In the Girls' U14, Le Thai Hoang Anh finished third to take bronze while Tran Ngoc Minh Duy earned silver in the Boys' U16.
After 12 days of competitions, Vietnam placed third in the medal tally with 10 golds, 16 silvers and 15 bronzes.
The Asian championships featured 640 young masters from 32 countries and regions. They took part in six age groups from U8 to U18 in boys and girls disciplines in standard, rapid and blitz chess categories.
