Vietnamese beauty shines at ASEAN Cultural Festival in Malaysia

The program was held to celebrate the 95th anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2025) at Titiwangsa Park, as part of the ASEAN Cultural Festival led by the Kuala Lumpur City Council (DBKL).

In her speech, MVFA President Tran Thi Chang emphasized that the program honors the beauty of Vietnamese women through the traditional áo dài, folk melodies, and traditional cuisine. It also highlights the creativity of the younger generation, including young women who help promote a dynamic, humane, and integrated image of Vietnam.
Tran Thi Chang noted that 2025 holds special significance as Malaysia assumes the role of ASEAN Chair, with numerous cultural, economic, and community exchanges and collaborations within the region.
MVFA has collaborated with DBKL in many events, contributing to showcasing a friendly, creative, and integrated image of Vietnam to ASEAN friends.
This year's program featured artists from the Vietnamese Traditional Art Troupe, who participated in the Kuala Lumpur 2025 International Drum and Dance Festival in Malaysia.
The artists presented impressive performances such as hat van, quan ho, and hat mua trong com, celebrating the spiritual beauty of the Vietnamese people, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with national pride. The ao dai performances by women and children from the Vietnamese community, along with traditional dances by the MVFA Cultural Club, further honored the beauty of women and Vietnamese identity.

Additionally, Vietnamese cuisine was introduced to international friends, with a demonstration on making spring rolls by Truc Linh – a Vietnamese language teacher for Malaysians, along with the program team.
True to its name “Vietnamese Beauty – Sending Love”, the event not only encourages Vietnamese women in Malaysia to preserve, nurture, and spread the nation's positive values but also helps strengthen friendship and promote cultural identity among ASEAN countries.
