From ancient times to modern life, Vietnamese women have always held a special place in both family and society. During wartime, they were the “strong rear guard”, “proficient in national affairs and domestic duties”. Today, women not only continue these qualities but also assert their capabilities in every field – from economics, education, and healthcare to science and technology.

According to UNDP, women make up over 48% of the workforce, and the percentage of female entrepreneurs is nearly 28%, among the highest in Southeast Asia. These figures reflect the creativity and growing role of women in the country's development.
