On the first day of the program, international delegates had the opportunity to visit renowned spiritual tourism sites such as Vinh Nghiem Pagoda (Bac Giang), the historical relic complex of Con Son–Kiep Bac (Hai Duong), and the Yen Tu tourist area (Quang Ninh). These destinations are rich in cultural and historical value, deeply reflecting the spiritual life and identity of the Vietnamese people.

This field trip not only provided an opportunity to promote local landmarks, socio-economic environments, and cultural experiences but also served as a platform to introduce foreign diplomats to the Yen Tu – Vinh Nghiem – Con Son – Kiep Bac Complex of Relics and Scenic Spots, which Vietnam is nominating for inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The authorities and people of the three provinces — Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, and Bac Giang — have been, are, and will continue to actively join efforts to preserve and promote the overall cultural, historical, archaeological, biodiversity, geological, and scenic values of Yen Tu, Vinh Nghiem, and Con Son – Kiep Bac.

The “Vietnam Discovery Day 2025” program is an annual event organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam since 2015. It aims to update the Diplomatic Corps on the country’s foreign policy orientations and socio-economic achievements, while also promoting Vietnamese culture to foreign diplomats in Vietnam.
This year’s program also serves to advocate for the nomination dossier of the Vinh Nghiem – Con Son – Kiep Bac – Yen Tu Complex of Relics and Scenic Landscapes to be inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
