Asian champion Vo Thanh Tung pocketed a silver in the men’s S1-5 50m backstroke event with a time of 39.76 second, webthethao reported.
Tung, a leading Vietnamese disabled athlete, won a silver medal at the Paralympic Rio 2016.

Tung’s teammate Ha Van Hiep, finished third in the men’s S4 50m breaststroke in 1:16.14.
The three-day competition saw the participation of more than 160 athletes from 25 countries. It was also a qualifying event for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Singapore was the only Asian nation to host the largest World Series for para swimming, lining up as the 5th hosting country for the 2019 leg. The event will later continue with two more legs in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy, between May 30 and June 2, and Berlin, Germany, from June 6-9.
