Union cooperation contributes to strengthening Vietnam-Egypt understanding and solidarity

During the meeting with ETUF, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on the labor movement and union activities in each country, sharing experiences in representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers amidst international integration and digital transformation.
ETUF leaders praised Vietnam's development achievements and the role of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in the political system as well as in the international labor movement.

Both sides also agreed to push forward towards signing a memorandum of understanding to enhance practical cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly in improving the skills of union officials and perfecting mechanisms to protect workers.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang affirmed that Vietnam values its traditional friendship with Egypt, emphasizing that union cooperation is an important channel of people-to-people diplomacy, contributing to strengthening understanding and solidarity between the peoples of the two countries.
He suggested that both sides continue to expand new areas of cooperation, focusing on training activities, exchanging experiences, and applying technology in union work. The delegation also visited several vocational training centers and schools under the management of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation.

During their time in Cairo, the delegation also visited and worked at the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt. Ambassador Nguyễn Nam Dương provided information on bilateral relations and the Vietnamese community in the host country, while outlining some directions to promote Vietnam-Egypt cooperation in the future.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang requested that the Embassy continue to play its role as a bridge, supporting Vietnamese citizens and workers to live and work safely and legally in Egypt.
