Party Central Committee Secretary and Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung warmly welcomed Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Palestine Varsen Aghabekian Shahin on her first visit to Vietnam, affirming the visit's special significance in strengthening solidarity and promoting the traditional friendship between the two countries. On this occasion, Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung expressed gratitude to Palestinian leaders for their letters of sympathy and support to Vietnamese leaders and people following the recent natural disasters in Vietnam.

Informing about Vietnam's socio-economic development after 80 years of national establishment and nearly 40 years of Renewal, Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung emphasized Vietnam's independent, self-reliant, diversified, and multilateral foreign policy, valuing traditional friends, including Palestine. Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung shared that Vietnam is accelerating institutional reforms, scientific and technological breakthroughs, innovation, and digital transformation, considering these as pillars for current development.

Regarding the Palestinian issue, Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung emphasized Vietnam's stance in supporting the Two-State solution, which includes establishing an independent Palestinian State with pre-1967 borders and East Jerusalem as its capital, living peacefully alongside the State of Israel, based on international law and relevant United Nations resolutions. Vietnam consistently supports the just struggle of the Palestinian people for independence and national self-determination. The Foreign Minister stated that Vietnam is ready to participate in the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

For her part, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine Varsen Aghabekian Shahin expressed gratitude for the valuable material and spiritual support that Vietnam has provided for the just struggle of the Palestinian people. Foreign Minister Varsen Aghabekian Shahin emphasized that Vietnam and Palestine share the aspiration for national independence, hoping that Vietnam will continue to support Palestine in the future, contributing to ending the conflict.
