Embassy of Vietnam promotes special Vietnam-Laos solidarity in Cuba
WVR - On November 27, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao PDR (2/12/1975-2/12/2025) and the 105th birth anniversary of President Kaysone Phomvihane (13/12/1920–13/12/2025), the Vietnamese Embassy delegation visited and extended congratulations to the Lao Embassy in Cuba.

The delegation, led by Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba Le Quang Long, included Counselor Dương Bình and staff from the Vietnamese representative office, including Defense Attaché Bui Xuan Phong, the Vietnam Trade Office, and a resident reporter from the Vietnam News Agency in Cuba.
Lao Ambassador Vanhtha Sengmeuang, his spouse, and staff of the Lao Embassy warmly received the Vietnamese delegation in an atmosphere of friendship and deep traditional ties between the two nations.
On behalf of the Party, State, and people of Laos, Ambassador Vanhtha expressed gratitude for the sincere sentiments from Vietnam; he affirmed that the significant anniversaries in 2025 are an opportunity for both countries to reflect on their journey of solidarity, standing shoulder to shoulder in the struggle for independence and in current nation-building efforts.
Congratulating Laos on this momentous occasion, Ambassador Le Quang Long emphasized: “The special Vietnam-Laos solidarity is an invaluable asset, a rare symbol in the history of international relations, and will always be preserved and promoted by future generations.” The Ambassador expressed confidence that the loyal and pure relationship between the two countries will continue to deepen in the future, contributing to peace, stability, and sustainable development in the region and the world.
During the meeting, the two Ambassadors reminisced about the important milestones in the great Vietnam-Laos friendship; they also agreed to enhance cooperation between their representative offices in Cuba across Party diplomacy, state diplomacy, people-to-people cooperation, and information and communication.
The meaningful congratulatory meeting contributed to strengthening the steadfast Vietnam-Laos solidarity in Cuba and reaffirmed the commitment of both sides to further deepen the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation in the new phase.
