UAE Leaders send congratulations on Vietnam's National Day, Burj Khalifa illuminated with Vietnamese national flag
WVR - On the occasion of Vietnam's National Day, high-ranking leaders of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) sent congratulatory messages, while the Vietnamese national flag was prominently displayed on iconic structures in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

On the evening of September 2, the red of the Vietnamese national flag lit up two iconic UAE structures: the ADNOC building in the capital Abu Dhabi and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the world's tallest building.
The image of the red and gold flag amidst UAE's renowned landmarks created a special moment on Vietnam's National Day, covered by the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and various media outlets in the country.
The illumination of the Vietnamese national flag on UAE's top architectural symbols carries profound significance, reflecting the friendship and esteem the UAE holds for Vietnam and the Comprehensive Partnership between the two nations.
For the Vietnamese community living, studying, and working in the UAE, the national flag flying amidst the modern cities of the Gulf nation became an emotional highlight, stirring national pride on this significant day for the country.
Vietnam-UAE relations were established in 1993 and have been positively developing across various fields, with trade and investment continuing to be crucial pillars.
According to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade, non-oil trade turnover between the two countries reached 7.02 billion USD in the first six months of 2025, an increase of 16.9% compared to the same period the previous year. In 2024, this turnover reached 12.6 billion USD, up 54.3% from 2019.
In trade relations with the UAE, Vietnam is currently the largest non-oil trade partner of the country within ASEAN.
The Vietnam-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), signed at the end of 2024 and effective from February 2026, is expected to further boost economic cooperation between the two countries.
On this basis, Vietnam and the UAE aim to raise bilateral trade turnover to 20 billion USD in the coming years.
