Vietnamese Party, State leaders pay tribute to Lao National Assembly President Xaysomphone Phomvihane at Lao Embassy
WVR - On the morning of August 10, high-level delegations from the Vietnamese Party, State, National Assembly, and Government visited the Lao Embassy in Hanoi to pay their respects and sign the condolence book in commemoration of Politburo member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of the Lao National Assembly Xaysomphone Phomvihane.

In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, the high-level delegation of the Vietnamese Party and State, led by Politburo Member and Standing Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; the high-level Government delegation, led by Politburo Member and Prime Minister Le Minh Hung; and the high-level National Assembly delegation, led by Politburo Member and Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien, paid their respects and laid wreaths in memory of Lao National Assembly President Xaysomphone Phomvihane.

The wreaths from the delegations bore the inscription: “Deepest condolences to Comrade Xaysomphone Phomvihane”. Emotionally signing the condolence book, senior leaders representing the Party, State, National Assembly, and Government expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Lao National Assembly President Xaysomphone Phomvihane.
Vietnamese leaders emphasised that Comrade Xaysomphone Phomvihane was an outstanding and dedicated leader of the Party, State, National Assembly, and people of Laos; a loyal and close friend of the Party, State, National Assembly, Government, and people of Vietnam. They highlighted his deep affection for Vietnam and his active contributions to strengthening and developing the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic cohesion between Vietnam and Laos.
The passing of comrade Xaysomphone Phomvihane is a great loss to the Lao Party, State and people and his family, as well as to the Vietnamese Party, State and people, they stressed, affirming that Vietnam will always remember and highly value the Lao leader's significant contributions to fostering, consolidating and strengthening the special ties between the two countries.

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, Standing Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, and Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien expressed their sorrow and sincere condolences to Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Khamphao Ernthavanh over the passing of National Assembly President Xaysomphone Phomvihane, conveying through the Ambassador their deep condolences to the leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, Government, people of Laos, and the family of Comrade Xaysomphone Phomvihane.
Moved by the attention of the Vietnamese Party and State, Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Khamphao Ernthavanh, on behalf of the Party, State, National Assembly, and Government of Laos, sincerely thanked the leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, and Government for paying tribute and signing the condolence book in memory of Comrade Xaysomphone Phomvihane, saying that the gesture vividly reflected the close, loyal, sincere and special bonds between the two Parties, States and people of Vietnam and Laos.
On the same day, delegations from various central and local agencies, ministries, and organizations also visited and signed the condolence book in memory of Comrade Xaysomphone Phomvihane at the Lao Embassy in Vietnam and the Lao Consulates General in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
