The digital exhibition space "Radiant Hanoi - Light and Heritage" is organised to innovate approaches, preserve, and promote the cultural heritage values of Thang Long - Hanoi through the application of digital technology and contemporary art. This exhibition model exemplifies the innovative direction and digital transformation in the cultural sector, contributing to the realisation of the Politburo's Resolution No. 57 on the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.

Heritage Narrated by Technology – Light Becomes Artistic Language

Unlike traditional display forms, the exhibition is built in the spirit of "living heritage", where the public not only observes but also participates, interacts, and engages through multi-sensory experiences. The entire exhibition space utilises modern digital technologies, including 3D Mapping Immersive, LED Kinetic, Interactive Wall, VR, multi-layer projection, and motion sensor technology, all applied synchronously.

In the exhibition space, light serves not only as illumination but also becomes the main artistic material, guiding emotions and connecting layers of space–time from past to present and future. The technology application is selectively implemented, ensuring aesthetic harmony, cultural depth, and suitability with the heritage space in the central area of the capital.

Digital Experience Journey – From Roots to the Future of the Capital

The exhibition space is organised into various interconnected areas/themes, creating a seamless journey through Hanoi:

- LED Kinetic Area - "Radiant Heart": utilises LED Kinetic technology with rhythmically moving light blocks, symbolising the heartbeat of the capital. The movements are programmed in contemporary visual language, connecting the thousand-year historical essence with today's creative rhythm.

- Immersive Mapping on Silk Area - "Millennium Thang Long": applies multi-layer 3D Mapping Immersive projected directly on traditional silk material, recreating iconic cultural symbols such as Dong Son Drums – Lac Birds, Lotus – Red River, Dragons of the Ly – Tran Dynasties. The combination of traditional materials and modern technology creates a space that is both real and virtual, rich in aesthetic depth and emotion.

- Creative City Area - Hanoi 2050: the Interactive Wall space allows viewers to interact by touch to create images of the future capital with elements of smart urbanism, green transportation, green spaces, and digital infrastructure. This area conveys the message: humans are at the centre of innovation and digital transformation, the creators of the city's future.

- 360 Hanoi Experience Area (VR): applies VR technology, taking the public on a "journey" in digital space to iconic heritage sites such as the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam, temples, traditional festivals, and urban spaces of Hanoi, providing an immersive, multi-dimensional experience.

- "Time Window" Area: a physical interactive space combined with digital imagery, allowing viewers to directly observe the transformation from past to present of Hanoi's landmarks, heritage, and urban spaces, creating moments rich in contemplation.

- Hang Trong Folk Painting Area - "Old Soul of Tet": applies motion recognition technology, bringing characters in Hang Trong folk paintings to "life" and interacting with viewers, evoking the atmosphere of traditional Tet and Hanoi's folk cultural life.

Innovation - Digital Transformation for Sustainable Cultural Values

The digital exhibition space "Radiant Hanoi - Light and Heritage" is organised by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports in collaboration with Vietsoftpro Group, with Hanoi L'Heritage Company responsible for the content. The exhibition is a concrete example of applying science, technology, and innovation in the cultural field, contributing to the preservation of sustainable heritage in line with the development trends of the digital era.

A representative of the Organizing Committee shared: "The digital exhibition space 'Radiant Hanoi - Light and Heritage' is not only a destination for visits and experiences during the year-end holidays but also a significant experiment in innovating methods to preserve, promote, and spread the cultural heritage values of Hanoi through the language of technology, effectively implementing the Politburo's Resolution No. 57."

Through this activity, the Organising Committee hopes that the exhibition will become a cultural and artistic highlight in the central area of the capital, contributing to building Hanoi's image as a city rich in tradition, dynamic, creative, and integrated, with a friendly atmosphere that appeals to both domestic and international audiences.

The digital exhibition space "Radiant Hanoi - Light and Heritage" is open to the public and tourists free of charge on the occasion of welcoming the New Year 2026.
