The event's opening ceremony was attended by representatives from the Community Affairs Department – Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, Do Xuan Hoang, President of the Union of Vietnamese Organizations in Russia, and major sponsors including RusVietPetro Oil Company and Vietnam Airlines in Russia.

Despite the cold weather, with matches held indoors with heating, the tournament gathered nearly 80 ViTAR member athletes from clubs: Rizhsky, Konkovo, Song La, Volgina, Future, Oil, Neva, and Co May.

On this occasion, the ViTAR Tennis Association also reviewed its activities for the year 2025, with both summer and winter tournaments eagerly anticipated by the community. They assessed the performance of the ViTAR Executive Committee for the 2022–2025 term and welcomed the new year 2026.

Amidst efforts in Vietnam by the Party, the people, and the State to overcome the severe consequences of recent natural disasters and storms, the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia initiated a donation campaign across Russia.

The ViTAR Winter 2025 Tournament highlighted the slogan: “Vietnamese Hearts in Russia for Homeland”, urging each ViTAR member family to contribute to the fund supporting flood-affected compatriots, aiding them in stabilizing their lives.
