Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang affirmed that Vietnam always values its traditional friendship and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the Russian Federation considering Russia a top priority partner.
Highlighting the positive developments in bilateral cooperation in 2025, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang appreciated the efforts and contributions of relevant agencies from both countries, including those of the Ambassador and the Russian Embassy in Hanoi. She expressed a desire for both sides to continue striving to enhance cooperation efficiency in 2026.
The Russian Ambassador expressed his delight at the dynamic development of bilateral relations recently, appreciating Vietnam's growing role and position in the region and in the world. He affirmed that Russia, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Russian Embassy, wishes to continue closely coordinating with Vietnam to promote bilateral cooperation in a more in-depth, effective, and sustainable manner.

The Russian Ambassador shared with Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang his keen interest in closely following and understanding the significance of the upcoming 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He expressed confidence that the Congress will make strategic decisions and directions for Vietnam's stronger development in the new era and wished the Congress great success.
In an atmosphere of trust, both sides engaged in frank discussions and reviewed the cooperation situation in 2025, assessing achievements in key cooperation areas. They agreed to enhance coordination to resolve emerging issues, facilitating continued cooperation promotion.
Based on this, Deputy Foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang and Russian Ambassador Gennady Bezdetko discussed key cooperation focuses and directions for 2026, especially in pillar cooperation areas that align with each side's needs and interests. They emphasized increasing delegation exchanges at all levels and closely coordinating in implementing signed commitments and agreements, thereby contributing to the substantive and effective development of the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
