Inauguration of the Press Center and international press conference for the 14th National Party Congress
WVR - On the afternoon of January 14, the Press Center for the 14th National Party Congress was officially inaugurated at the My Dinh National Convention Center. This event marks the beginning of a series of main activities at the 14th National Party Congress.

Attending the inauguration ceremony were comrades: T Politburo Member, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; Politburo Member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang; Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilizsation; Party Central Committee Secretary, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung; Deputy Member of the Party Central Committee Member, Deputy Head of the Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation Lai Xuan Mon, Director of the Press Center for the 14th National Party Congress... along with Party Central Committee members, representatives from central and local ministries and departments.
Following Conclusion No. 01 on April 3, 2024, by the Subcommittee on Organization for the 13th Party Congress regarding task assignments for the 14th National Party Congress, the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation proactively and actively implemented related tasks to establish the Press Center.
In recent times, the preparation and operation of the Center have been scientifically, methodically, and thoroughly coordinated by relevant agencies; the Center's facilities, technology, and service conditions are fully equipped and modern, featuring high-speed internet, over 150 laptops and desktops, 10 printers, 2 fax machines, and 10 large TV screens, providing optimal conditions for reporting and covering the Congress.
As of now, there are 597 journalists and technicians from 113 domestic press agencies (compared to 498 domestic journalists at the 13th Congress); 79 journalists and press assistants from 43 foreign news agencies, overseas Vietnamese journalists, and journalists from political parties registered to cover the Congress (compared to 66 international journalists at the 13th Congress).

The Press Center has coordinated with relevant agencies to facilitate the participation of press agencies in covering and operating at the Congress, especially key national media outlets such as Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, Vietnam News Agency, and Nhan Dan Newspaper to best fulfill their roles as host media, providing clean broadcast signals and photos for media exploitation, spreading information about the 14th Congress; devising plans to arrange and regulate journalists working at the Press Center and in the Congress Hall to record, photograph, and capture audio in a timely, scientific, dignified, and orderly manner, ensuring quick, accurate, and comprehensive information to meet the set requirements.
Additionally, the Center ensures thoughtful provision of meals and refreshments for journalists, technicians, and service teams during breaks.
Regarding information and communication about the 14th National Party Congress, in recent times, Party Central Committee Member, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization Lai Xuan Mon stated that information and communication about the 14th National Party Congress in the press have been implemented comprehensively and widely, creating a strong and positive spread in society about the 14th National Party Congress - a historic congress marking a turning point for the country.
The press has focused on highlighting the results and achievements of the 13th Congress term; the country's achievements after 40 years of renewal; focusing on propagating 7 resolutions of the Politburo reflecting innovative thinking and breakthrough vision for the country's development; highlighting positive evaluations from the international community and media about Vietnam's strong development under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam over the past 40 years, especially during the 13th National Party Congress term; reflecting the joyful and exciting atmosphere of officials, party members, and various social strata towards this significant political event of the country and the nation...

Immediately following the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Press Center of the 14th National Party Congress, an international press conference on the 14th National Party Congress took place. The presiding members provided information and answered questions from domestic and international journalists regarding topics related to the 14th National Party Congress such as: the significant political importance and new fundamental points in thinking, vision, and strategic orientation compared to previous Congresses; core and important contents in the draft documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress; the working regulations and personnel work of the Congress; the reporting conditions for journalists at the Press Center of the 14th Congress...
Speaking at the press conference, Politburo Member, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu acknowledged and highly appreciated the dedication and responsibility of journalists from domestic and international news agencies in information and communication on the 14th National Party Congress. He emphasized that information and communication about the 14th National Party Congress have been implemented early, with specific plans in a spirit of openness, transparency, democracy, and objectivity, accurately reflecting the Party's determination and the aspirations of officials, party members, and the people, creating highlights, impressions, and contributing to strengthening the trust of officials, party members, and the people in the Congress; creating unity within the Party and consensus in society, all aiming towards and acting for the country's development goals.
The Standing Secretary of the Secretariat requested the Press Center for the 14th National Party Congress to provide the best possible conditions in terms of infrastructure, technology, information, and coordination for domestic and international journalists to effectively carry out media coverage and communication work, creating a strong spread about the 14th National Party Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Before the inauguration of the Press Center and the international press conference on the 14th National Party Congress, Party and State leaders, along with a large number of delegates, visited the exhibition From Congress to Congress; the book and newspaper display area; the photo exhibition area Under the Party's Flag, the Country Advances into a New Era; and the special release ceremony of a postage stamp set celebrating the 14th National Party Congress.
