On June 19 alone, a total of 2,005 trucks completed customs clearance at Lang Son’s border gates — the highest single-day figure ever recorded in the province. Of these, 634 carried exports and 1,371 imports.

The Huu Nghi International Border Gate remained the busiest, handling 985 vehicles, including 329 trucks carrying exports.

To improve customs clearance capacity, relevant agencies in Lang Son have rolled out measures to shorten clearance times. The Dong Dang – Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone Management Board and China’s Pingxiang authorities have agreed to extend work hours to 8 pm (Hanoi time). The move is to boost clearance efficiency and help ease congestion of vehicles awaiting import-export procedures at the Huu Nghi (Vietnam) – Youyi Guan (China) international border gate and along the specialised freight transport route through the area of border markers No. 1088/2 - 1089 (Tan Thanh – Puzhai).

Border guards and customs units have deployed additional personnel to manage and guide traffic flow more effectively, including the establishment of dedicated lanes for vehicles carrying agricultural products and fresh fruit for export.

Since the beginning of this year, the total trade turnover of goods of all categories through Lang Son has exceeded 38.8 billion USD, up 38% year-on-year.
