Expressing his delight at welcoming the Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives and the high-level delegation from Jordan's House of Representatives on their official visit to Vietnam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the visit takes place in the context of positively developing multifaceted relations between Vietnam and Jordan, especially following the historic visit by King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein in November 2025.

The Prime Minister is confident that the visit of House Speaker Mazen Turki El Qadi will significantly contribute to advancing bilateral relations into a new, more substantive, and effective phase.

Amid profound global and regional changes, the Prime Minister emphasized that Vietnam and Jordan, sharing many common interests and values and having a resilient struggle for national independence, need to strengthen solidarity and cooperation to open up new opportunities for the benefit of the peoples of both countries and for peace, stability, and development in both regions and the world.

The Prime Minister congratulated Jordan on its developmental achievements through the implementation of the 10-year "Economic Modernization Vision" strategy, appreciating Jordan's important role in regional peace efforts, while reaffirming Vietnam's commitment to strengthening political trust and expanding multifaceted cooperation with Jordan.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh shared information about the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party, Vietnam's socio-economic achievements during 2021-2025, as well as strategic development orientations until 2030 and vision to 2045.

House Speaker Mazen Turki El Qadi and the high-level Jordanian delegation expressed their admiration for Vietnam's significant economic and social growth achievements in recent years, acknowledging its increasing stature and role in the region and internationally.

The House Speaker affirmed that Jordan views Vietnam as an important partner in Asia, expressing a desire to enhance cooperation, share, and exchange experiences in areas of mutual strength, particularly in agriculture, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, defense industry, cybersecurity, halal, and science and technology.

Jordan expressed gratitude for Vietnam's stance, perspective, and support for the Palestinian people and the two-state solution, welcoming Vietnam's participation in the Peace Council and affirming readiness to act as a bridge, cooperating effectively with Vietnam to promote peace and implement reconstruction and humanitarian programs in the region.

Building on the political trust consolidated after the visits to Vietnam by Jordan's King and House Speaker, both sides agreed to enhance exchanges at all levels, establish and effectively organize bilateral cooperation mechanisms and frameworks; including moving towards establishing permanent representative offices in each other's capitals, organizing Political Consultation Sessions, forming a Vietnam-Jordan Business Cooperation Working Group, and promoting the signing of important cooperation agreements on visa exemption, investment protection, and avoidance of double taxation.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh extended an invitation to Jordan's Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah and Prime Minister Jafar Hassan for an official visit to Vietnam.

Regarding the economy, the two leaders agreed to boost trade turnover to 500 million USD by 2030 and 1 billion USD by 2035; enhance market access for each other's strong products, and support each other in ensuring food security and developing the Halal industry.

The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam is ready to ensure a stable supply of quality agricultural and aquatic products for Jordan, welcoming Jordanian businesses to Vietnam to explore investment and business cooperation opportunities and suggesting the study of implementing Jordan's coral reef-based salinity intrusion prevention technology in Vietnam.

The Jordanian House Speaker proposed establishing a Free Trade Zone for Vietnamese goods in Jordan to export to the Middle East, and forming joint ventures in potential sectors.

Both sides also discussed specific measures to promote cooperation in healthcare, tourism, education and training, and science and technology; agreeing to enhance consultation, coordination, and mutual support at multilateral forums, especially at important organizations like the United Nations and UNESCO, as well as cooperation in addressing common issues of each region and globally based on respecting international law and the principled positions of each side.
