On the foundation of political trust and effective partnership, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung proposed that both sides focus on implementing six major orientations in the near future.

Accordingly, both sides will continue to consolidate political trust through enhanced delegation exchanges, high-level contacts, and bilateral cooperation mechanisms; promote more substantive defense and security cooperation through increased exchanges and capacity building in maritime, naval, and maritime security.

The two Prime Ministers agreed to continue promoting economic-trade-investment cooperation, striving to achieve a bilateral trade target of 3 billion USD; further facilitating market access for each country's strong products; and closely cooperating to effectively implement free trade agreements to which both countries are members, including the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (AANZFTA), the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), contributing to strengthening internal strength and economic autonomy, and better responding to current fluctuations.

New Zealand Prime Minister highly appreciated Vietnam's role as the rotating Chair of the CPTPP in 2026 and affirmed support for Vietnam to successfully fulfill this role.

The two Prime Ministers also shared measures taken by each country to stabilize the macroeconomy and respond to fuel price fluctuations, including fiscal policies and appropriate support policies for businesses and citizens.

The two Prime Ministers also agreed to enhance cooperation in responding to climate change, energy transition, sustainable agriculture, promoting low-emission agricultural models, and developing renewable energy, especially wind and solar energy.
