Philippine Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City receives Consular Acceptance Certificate
WVR - On July 6, Director General of the Consular Department Doan Hoang Minh presented the Consular Acceptance Certificate to Ms. Querobine Deapera Laccay, the first Consul General of the Republic of the Philippines in Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director Doan Hoang Minh congratulated Ms. Querobine Deapera Laccay on her new position, expressing confidence that with her experience, the Consul General will make positive contributions to the development of bilateral relations in general and consular relations in particular.
The Director General of the Consular Department also emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant Vietnamese authorities will support the Consulate General and facilitate the new Consul General in successfully completing her term in Vietnam, especially in the context of the recent agreement by the high-level leaders of both countries to elevate Vietnam–Philippines relations to an Enhanced Strategic Partnership on June 1.
In response, Ms. Querobine Deapera Laccay thanked Director Doan Hoang Minh for taking the time to meet and present the Consular Acceptance Certificate.
Expressing delight at the positive developments in bilateral relations recently, the new Consul General affirmed her commitment to making every effort to promote bilateral cooperation in the future.
