Northern region expected to endure cold spells during first half of February

The north will experience up to three cold snaps throughout the first half of February.

The arrival of these cold periods will see temperatures plummet, whilst simultaneously bringing about an array of other weather conditions such as fog and rain, in addition to resulting in high levels of humidity.

It is possible that this spell of serve weather will impact on the daily lives of people throughout the north, especially those located in mountainous areas. Residents have therefore been warned to protect their plants and cattle from the impending bout of cold weather.

Between January 29 and 31, Ha Noi will experience lows of 12 degrees Celsius with highs of 19 degrees Celsius.

Following this, the capital is expected to face spells of drizzly conditions and fog both at night and in the early morning on February 1 and 2. There also remains the possibility that temperatures could drop further still, with lows of 11 degrees Celsius anticipated.

This cold spell in northern regions will be followed in the second half of February by increasing temperatures and additional levels of rain, proving favourable for the new harvest season.
