Many local households and cooperatives have invested in technologies to raise productivity and boost agroecotourism.
The Thai An General Agriculture Service Cooperative in Vinh Hai commune, Ninh Hai district, for example, has produced high-quality seedless grapes thanks to the high-tech application, with each hectare creating up to 600 million VND (25,545 USD) per crop.

Its orchards have also lured crowds of tourists who buy fresh grapes and processed products right in the gardens, said the director of the cooperative Nguyen Khac Phong.
The provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said Ninh Thuan has offered a range of incentives in support of production facilities, businesses, and cooperatives.
The locality has attracted 31 high-tech agricultural projects so far, all of which have been operational, it said, noting that Ninh Thuan is now home to 260 hectares of high-tech farming land and the area is expected to reach 1,000 hectares by 2025.

Such fruitful agricultural models have contributed to creating changes in the production mindset of local farmers in response to climate change and expanding consumer markets.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Huyen said Ninh Thuan is pushing ahead with agriculture restructuring, with a focus on high-tech agriculture in combination with digital economy and digital transformation, taking this a breakthrough solution to promote agricultural production and improve people’s living standards.
The value of the local agricultural sector is expected to increase 4-5 per cent this year, and that of high-tech agricultural production is set to grow 30-40 per cent, the official stressed.
At the same time, Ninh Thuan will work to lure businesses from other localities to its high-tech agriculture, targeting at least 20 effective high-tech agricultural projects.
Ninh Thuan will earmark nearly 7 billion VND to support 10 high-tech agricultural projects while enhancing cooperation with centers, research institutes, and organizations in and outside the province in selecting production technologies, plant varieties, and animal breeds for production.
It will also roll out credit policies for production facilities, develop personnel in high-tech agriculture, intensify production connectivity, and step up trade promotion, thus turning high-tech agriculture into an economic spearhead, the official said.
