On the morning of July 30 in Hanoi, NXB Giao duc Viet Nam (Vietnam Education Publishing House) officially released two special reference books on President Ho Chi Minh: Bac la Ho Chi Minh and Bac Ho o Thai Lan. These works, rich in humanistic values and thoroughly curated, add meaningful resources to the body of literature on the great life and career of President Ho Chi Minh.

Speaking at the launch event, Mr. Nguyen Chi Binh, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Education Publishing House, stated: “Each page written about President Ho Chi Minh is not only a story, but a historical milestone, an emotional thread that compels us to revisit the revolutionary roots of national liberation and to reflect on a remarkable personality who brought glory to Vietnam”.

The two books are the result of dedicated scholarly effort, carefully compiled through a rigorous and responsible process involving authors, subject experts and the editorial staff of the publishing house.

Importantly, books about President Ho Chi Minh help cultivate thought, ethics and character in younger generations. According to Mr. Nguyen Chi Binh, in the context of Vietnam’s robust development and deep global integration, researching, publishing and disseminating the values associated with President Ho Chi Minh has become all the more essential.

Bac la Ho Chi Minh and Bac Ho o Thai Lan are among the publisher’s most recent works and represent its current focus on high-quality content. To produce historically accurate and compelling narratives, the editorial team invested substantial effort in collecting and verifying materials and images.

The book "Bac la Ho Chi Min", compiled by Luong Van Phu, was born out of deep affection and a passion for studying President Ho Chi Minh. The work vividly portrays a visionary yet humble leader, especially through his journey to seek national salvation in the broader context of Vietnamese and world history.

Using reliable and authentic documents and images, the book guides readers from the time when the young teacher Nguyen Tat Thanh set out to find a path for Vietnam’s independence, through his years of tireless revolutionary activity, to his leadership in the success of the August Revolution in 1945.

Readers will gain deeper insights into Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics and leadership style, alongside profound lessons in patriotism, resilience, independent thought and creativity.

The second book, "Bac Ho o Thai Lan" by author Ha Lam Danh, compiles valuable historical records and real-life accounts of President Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary activities in Thailand from 1928 to 1929. The work not only vividly reconstructs this period of his life in the "Land of the Golden Temples" but also highlights his simplicity, wisdom and boundless affection for the Vietnamese diaspora.

Presented in bilingual Vietnamese-Thai format, the book helps younger generations of Vietnamese in Thailand better understand President Ho Chi Minh and the nation’s revolutionary history. It also serves as a powerful symbol of the long-standing friendship between Vietnam and Thailand.

The work contributes to deeper mutual understanding and strengthens the humanistic foundation of bilateral relations, while affirming the vital role of the overseas Vietnamese community in fostering global friendship.

Commending the thorough effort behind the two books, Mr. Nguyen Nguyen, Director of the Publishing, Printing and Distribution Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, remarked that these publications represent a return to high-calibre works in both content and design by Vietnam Education Publishing House. He emphasised that the books contribute to preserving the ideological foundation of the Communist Party, and praised the authors for finding fresh perspectives on a subject already covered extensively. The Thai-language edition, he noted, will also help promote bilateral relations between the two countries.
