Vietnam Summer Camp 2025: Young overseas Vietnamese pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and fallen heroes

WVR - On the morning of July 25, after a journey across the country from South to North, young overseas Vietnamese youth and students participating in the 2025 Vietnam Summer Camp arrived in Hanoi. Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Mai, Deputy Chairwoman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, led the delegation to pay tribute at President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and lay wreaths at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs.

In a solemn atmosphere inside the Mausoleum, the 2025 Vietnam Summer Camp delegation — consisting of 110 young overseas Vietnamese from 31 countries and territories — expressed their profound gratitude and deep respect for President Ho Chi Minh’s immense contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the Vietnamese nation.

The Vietnam Summer Camp is an annual program organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, dedicated to overseas Vietnamese youth and students. It provides an opportunity for young participants to learn about the country’s current situation, explore the beauty of their homeland, and strengthen solidarity as well as connection with one another.

The theme of the 2025 Vietnam Summer Camp is “Together We Continue the Story of Peace”. The program is being held in 10 localities across the three regions of North, Central, and South Vietnam from July 13–26, 2025, with Hanoi as the final stop.
