The Awards ceremony have been organised professionally, and broadcast live on a Vietnam Television (VTV) channel with the participation of senior Party and State leaders, representatives of Embassies and international organizations in Vietnam; leaders of media, press, and publishing agencies; Award-winning authors and author groups.

1,456 works and products, up 30 from the previous edition, were sent to the organizing board, reflecting the increasing appeal of the awards. These entries have diverse topics and attractive formats.
As many as 112 works, including 10 first, 21 second, 30 third and 51 consolation prizes, were honoured at the awarding ceremony.

The World and Vietnam Report of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was honored to be awarded the Second Prize in the Foreign Language Printing Newspaper category with the work "Vietnam's unique appeal" by the author group: Nguyen Truong Son, Hoang Diem Hanh, Pham Thuy Hang, Tran Thu Trang and Pham Anh Tuan and Third Prize in the book category with the Special Edition "50 Years of the Paris Agreement: Valuable Lessons" by the author group: Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet, Nguyen Thi Kim Chung, Ho Thi Van, Tran Thi Quynh Huong, Tran Tuan Anh, Truong Thi Dieu Linh, Nguyen Thi Hong, Pham Thuy Hang, Tran Thi Thu Trang, Pham Thi Thuan and Pham Anh Tuan.

In addition, the the World and Vietnam Report newspaper won the Consolation prize with the series of articles "10 years of comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and the United States: The spirit of peace and reconciliation "sows seeds" for "sweet fruit" (Vietnamese electronic newspaper category) and "Vietnam - Singapore: Stepping towards the future" (Video clip category).

On the threshhold of the ceremony, Le Hai Binh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, and Standing Vice Chairman of the Steering Committee for External Information Service, said the National External Information Service Awards have affirmed its prestige and quality, and attracted big attention from Vietnamese and foreigners who both engage in and do not engage in the external information service.

According to him, the external information service has received increasing attention of all levels and sectors, while the national awards have been expanded to various categories, for not only outstanding press and media works, but also ideas and activities that help spread the image of Vietnam in the international arena. To ensure the prestige of the Awards, Binh proposed continuing to improve the effectiveness and pervasiveness of external information and use them as criteria for scoring and award consideration.
There may be very good and profound articles, highly appreciated by many experts, but if there is no way to help them reach a large number readers or spread to the international community, they cannot be considered perfect external information works, he stressed.
