Lao Embassy in Thailand congratulates the 14th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam

WVR - On January 28, the delegation of the Lao Embassy and representative missions in Thailand, led by Ambassador Sisavath Inphachanh, visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand to congratulate the successful conclusion of the 14th National Party Congress.

At the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand, Lao Ambassador to Thailand Sisavath Inphachanh affirmed that the success of the 14th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam demonstrates Vietnam's stability and development. He emphasized that the Congress highlighted the Party's development strategy for the upcoming period.

Ambassador Sisavath Inphachanh stated that the Lao Party and State always value and highly appreciate the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries, expressing a desire for both sides to develop sustainably in the future.

Ambassador Sisavath Inphachanh shared that following the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith made a state visit to Vietnam. He emphasized that this visit reflects the special friendship and solidarity, as well as the importance the Lao Party and State place on the bilateral relationship.

Ambassador Sisavath Inphachanh is confident that with the new directions set by the 14th Congress of the Party, Vietnam will achieve rapid and sustainable development. He wished for the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic connection between Laos and Vietnam to remain evergreen and everlasting.

Regarding the relationship between the Lao and Vietnamese Embassies in Thailand, Ambassador Sisavath Inphachanh highlighted that regular meetings and exchanges have contributed to strengthening this relationship.

The Ambassador is confident that the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand will fulfill their assigned tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of the 14th Congress's resolutions.

For his part, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Pham Viet Hung sincerely thanked Ambassador Sisavath Inphachanh and the delegation for their kind congratulations on the successful conclusion of the 14th Congress of the Party.

The Ambassador affirmed that the visit of General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith to Vietnam right after the 14th Congress is a vivid manifestation of the special friendship and solidarity between the two countries.

Ambassador Pham Viet Hung noted that both Vietnam and Laos have just successfully concluded their respective Party congresses and are beginning to implement the congress resolutions. He emphasized that the solidarity and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in the coming period will play an important and meaningful role in successfully implementing the directions set by each Party congress.

Regarding the good exchange and cooperation relationship between the two Embassies, Ambassador Pham Viet Hung hopes that both sides will continue to work closely together to successfully fulfill the tasks assigned by each country's Party.

Highlighting key aspects of the 14th National Congress of the Party, Ambassador Pham Viet Hung emphasized the decisive and effective working spirit at the Congress, as well as in the upcoming implementation process.

According to the Ambassador, many documents of the 14th Congress of the Party have been integrated into one with clearer and more concise content; the duration of the Congress was also shortened. The high level of unity and consensus at the Congress was reflected in the election of the new leadership, as well as in the preparation and approval of the documents.

The Ambassador added that the document content identifies science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the central drivers of development in the coming period.

Regarding foreign affairs, Ambassador Pham Viet Hung emphasized that the 14th National Congress of the Party identifies foreign affairs along with defense-security as key and regular tasks. Based on the foreign policy of the 13th Congress of the Party and prior, along with new points from the 14th National Party Congress, Vietnam will be more proactive and active in collaborating with other countries to contribute to peace, prosperity, and sustainable development in the region and the world.

The Ambassador also affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam wish to receive support, coordination, and cooperation from the Party and State of Laos.
