Lao Cai and Bac Ninh provinces call for more Japanese investments: JVEDA

During the working trip in Vietnam, the delegation of the Japan-Vietnam Economic Development Association (JVEDA) visited and worked in Lao Cai and Bac Ninh provinces.

At the investment promotion meeting, Mr. Suichi Ikejma, Vice President of the Japan-Vietnam Economic Development Association (JVEDA); Representative Director of the Osaka SME Support Center- Representative of the JVEDA Association thanked Lao Cai and Bac Ninh provinces for their warm welcome.

To enhance mutual understanding, strengthen the relationship between the two countries, as well as contribute to the effectiveness of cooperation and trade, the representative of JVEDA said: "The Japanese investment delegation is interested in investing in areas in Bac Ninh province including: environmental treatment systems with the most advanced Japanese technology such as solid waste treatment, water treatment and air treatment; Investing in concentrated high-tech agricultural zones.

Japanese companies will provide seeds and technology; Agricultural management systems according to high standards of Global Gap and purchasing all high-quality agricultural products supplied to high-end markets such as Japan, China, Singapore, the US and Europe..."

At the working session in Lao Cai, Japanese enterprises expressed their desire to survey and understand more about Lao Cai to invest, focusing on the following areas such as high-tech agriculture; industry, construction of semiconductor material factories; real estate for low-income people; renewable energy (wind power, solar power, hydropower); solid waste treatment; regenerative medicine; logistics...

Japanese enterprises hope that through cooperation projects, they will build a green, clean, and beautiful environment for children; works that are friendly to the environment and people...

At the end of the successful visit and working session, the Association and Japanese partners signed specific cooperation documents: Contract to implement the planting and export of medicinal ginseng to the Japanese market; Contract to implement research and investment in developing the Logistics area at the Lao Cai border gate economic zone; Contract to invest in solid waste treatment areas in Lao Cai and Bac Ninh provinces; Contract to research and develop real estate projects serving middle-income and low-income people in Bac Ninh and Lao Cai provinces.

The Japan-Vietnam Economic Development Association (JVEDA) is involved in trade and investment promotion activities as well as diplomatic and cultural relations between Japan and Vietnam, and related consulting services such as: Capital arrangement for expansion, mergers and acquisitions, multi-sector portfolio management including supply chain management, financial services, manufacturing, communications, energy, agriculture and transportation in Vietnam.
