Taking place as the central and highland regions of Vietnam endure severe losses from natural disasters and floods, the International Culinary Culture Festival 2025, themed “Joining Hands to Support Communities Overcoming Floods”, was held on November 22-23. It showcased the spirit of “solidarity and compassion”, spreading kindness and community responsibility among diplomats, businesses, and international friends in Vietnam.

This year, the Belarusian booth in Vietnam continued to be a highlight of the International Culinary Culture Festival 2025, attracting numerous visitors with its distinctive traditional flavors and rich cultural identity.

Speaking to The World and Vietnam Report on the occasion of the festival, Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou expressed his appreciation for continuing to partner with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnam in participating in the international cultural and culinary festival.

The Ambassador particularly praised this year’s festival theme, “Joining Hands to Support Communities Overcoming Floods”, as a testament to the humanitarian spirit and community responsibility of the Vietnamese people.

Emphasizing the event’s message, the Ambassador noted that beyond showcasing international culinary excellence, the participation of various parties here also spreads a spirit of solidarity with those affected by natural disasters. The entire festival’s activities aim to raise funds and support for the central provinces heavily impacted by flooding.

Furthermore, the Ambassador affirmed that the International Culinary Culture Festival serves as a “gateway connecting cultures”, where Vietnamese people can directly experience the cuisine and traditions of various countries worldwide. Despite the geographical distance between Belarus and Vietnam, the Belarusian Embassy in Vietnam strives to overcome challenges to bring unique Eastern European dishes to the event, fostering cultural exchange and connection between the two nations.

“Although the distance between the two countries is vast, events like this bring us closer. Vietnamese people can learn more about Belarusian traditions, cuisine, and cultural stories. We also learn a lot from Vietnam,” the Ambassador shared.

The Ambassador highlighted that Belarus’s opportunity to participate and contribute to the festival demonstrates the bond between the two countries. Through cultural exchange activities like this festival, Belarus hopes to continue partnering with Vietnam, not only in culture but also in community support efforts, thereby deepening the friendship between the two nations.
