Hanoi - HCM City the third busiest domestic route in the world
The flights between Hanoi and HCM City were the third busiest domestic airline route in the world in August, according to a recent report by global data provider OAG Aviation.

The route offered 949,249 seats in August, coming just after Jeju International – Seoul Simpo with more than 1.2 million seats and Sapporo New Chitose – Tokyo Haneda with 1.06 million seats.
It is also the busiest domestic route in Southeast Asia, exceeding the number of seats offered on domestic routes in other countries, including Jakarta – Makassar (Indonesia) with 569,526 seats, Jakarta – Bali with 473,276 seats, Cebu – Manila (the Philippines) with 450,053 seats.
Two other domestic airline routes of Việt Nam were also among the top ten busiest domestic routes in Southeast Asia in August.
Da Nang – HCM City ranked fifth with a total of 427,779 seats, while Da Nang – Hanoi ranked seventh.
Other domestic routes in the top ten in Southeast Asia included Surabaya – Makassar, Jakarta – Medan, Jakarta – Surabaya and Davao – Manila.
