Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are among 10 most affordable Asian cities to visit
Ho Chi Minh City ranks second and Hanoi ninth in the list of the 10 most affordable Asian cities for travel, as announced recently by US magazine Travel+Leisure.

The list was created based on search data from the Kayak metasearch engine between January and June 2024 for travel to Asia between June and December 2024. They combined the average round-trip economy airfare with the average rate of a one-night stay in a standard double hotel room.
Accordingly, the average total cost for a round-trip flight and one-night stay at a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City was 1,452 USD, only after Taiwan’s Taipei, which was voted as Asia’s cheapest city with an average price of 1,411 USD.
Meanwhile, the average total cost in Hanoi was estimated at 1,546 USD.
Other Southeast Asian destinations named in the list include Jakarta, Bangkok, Manila, and Kuala Lumpur.
