This is part of Document 23401/SYT-NVY sent to both public and private medical establishments stipulating a series of measures to minimize COVID-19 related deaths.
The Department stressed the necessity to classify and assess risk levels for both suspected and confirmed COVID-19 cases for timely referral and admission.
Patients visiting medical facilities must be carefully screened, especially their COVID-19 vaccination history.
Health care facilities will arrange classification routes, examination areas, and rooms with priority to protect high-risk groups including people over 50 years old, those with underlying conditions, unvaccinated or partially vaccinated people.
Each medical facility has to prepare two treatment floors for COVID-19 patients and stockpile adequate COVID-19 treatment drugs, oxygen, and personal protective gears.
Statistics showed that Ha Noi has recorded the highest number of daily infections nationwide over the past seven days with a combined 17,897 new infections over the past two weeks.
So far, the city houses 93 lockdown areas, 19,730 active cases of whom 2,386 patients are being warded at hospitals, 2,470 others at the city’s treatment facilities, 4,840 at grass-root medical facilities, and 10,034 at home.
Since early 2021, 37,557 infectious cases have been confirmed in Ha Noi, including 13,539 local infections and 24,018 others in quarantine camps.
