The General Secretary and President expressed his pleasure at meeting Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul again following his official visit to Thailand at the end of May; he extended his gratitude to the Thai Royal Family, Government, and people, as well as the Prime Minister and his spouse, for the warm, thoughtful, and friendly reception given to the General Secretary, President, his spouse, and the high-level Vietnamese delegation.
The General Secretary and President highly valued the significant meaning of the visit, which takes place as the cooperative relations between the two countries are flourishing and coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Thailand. He is confident that the visit will positively contribute to advancing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries in depth, substance, and effectiveness.
The Thai Prime Minister expressed his delight at his first official visit to Vietnam and thanked the Vietnamese leaders and people for the warm and respectful reception extended to the delegation.
Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul conveyed greetings from the King and Queen of Thailand to the General Secretary, President, and his spouse; he emphasized that the recent official visit to Thailand by the General Secretary and President was a resounding success, leaving a very good impression on the Thai people, opening up many new cooperation directions, and creating strong momentum for the bilateral relations to enter a new phase of development.

During the meeting, the Thai Prime Minister informed General Secretary and President To Lam about the very successful talks with Prime Minister Le Minh Hung. Both sides have outlined specific measures to implement the agreements between the high-level leaders of the two countries, particularly the results of the recent official visit to Thailand by General Secretary and President To Lam.
The Thai Prime Minister affirmed that Thailand always regards Vietnam as a close neighbour and a trusted partner. He noted that the Royal Thai Government delegation includes three Deputy Prime Ministers, six Ministers, military commanders, and secretaries of various ministries, demonstrating the importance and desire to continue strengthening and developing the good relations with Vietnam across all fields, making them increasingly robust and substantive.
Discussing future cooperation directions, General Secretary and President To Lam suggested that the two countries continue to enhance political trust, expand economic, defense-security cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges through increased delegation exchanges, high-level and various-level contacts; broaden cooperation across all channels; and maintain effective existing bilateral cooperation mechanisms, especially the joint Cabinet meeting mechanism.
The General Secretary and President affirmed that the Communist Party of Vietnam always values and wishes to strengthen cooperation with political parties in Thailand, including the Bhumjaithai Party, contributing to consolidating the political foundation and long-term orientation for bilateral relations.
The Thai Prime Minister expressed strong agreement with the major directions proposed by the General Secretary and President; he affirmed the commitment to substantively promote the "Three Connections" Strategy, actively coordinate with Vietnam to enhance economic, trade, and investment linkages, infrastructure connectivity, logistics, and supply chains; expand cooperation in science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, digital economy, and artificial intelligence; and strive to develop balanced and sustainable bilateral trade, aiming for a target of 25 billion USD and further to 50 billion USD in the future.
Both sides will also expand cooperation through Party, parliamentary, and people-to-people exchanges, while continuing to closely coordinate in multilateral mechanisms such as ASEAN, the United Nations, APEC, and Mekong sub-regional cooperation mechanisms, contributing to maintaining peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
