Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung receives outgoing French Ambassador Olivier Brochet
WVR - On September 3, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Member of the Politburo, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung received outgoing French Ambassador Olivier Brochet for a farewell visit as he concludes his term in Vietnam.

Minister Le Hoai Trung congratulated Ambassador Olivier Brochet on successfully completing his term; he highly appreciated the Ambassador's efforts and positive contributions during a particularly dynamic phase in the bilateral relationship, notably the elevation of relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the adoption of the Vietnam-France Action Plan for 2026-2028 to implement the Joint Declaration.
Based on the new relationship framework, the Minister suggested that both sides continue to maintain delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels; develop economic, trade, and investment cooperation commensurate with their potential; create breakthroughs in science and technology, innovation, energy, aerospace, transportation, and railways; while deepening cooperation in defense-security, health, education-training, culture, and local cooperation.

French Ambassador Olivier Brochet expressed his emotions as he concludes his term in Vietnam; he was pleased to have directly contributed to the dynamic development phase of the bilateral relationship, especially the elevation of Vietnam-France relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which continues to expand into many new fields.
The Ambassador appreciated the important role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in connecting, coordinating, and promoting cooperative initiatives between the two countries. Reflecting on his tenure in Vietnam, the Ambassador affirmed that in any position, he will continue to contribute to the friendship and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and France in the future.
