Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung leads Ministry delegation to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh

WVR - On the morning of August 28, on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (2/9/1945-2/9/2026), a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by Politburo member and Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung, to paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his Mausoleum and offered incense to heroic martyrs at the Monument to the Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son Street, Hanoi.

The delegation included leaders from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and heads of various departments within the Ministry.

In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation respectfully paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his Mausoleum to honour the great leader of the Party and the Vietnamese nation, a national liberation hero, and a world cultural figure. The delegation members expressed profound gratitude for his immense contributions to Vietnam's revolutionary cause and pledged to continue promoting Ho Chi Minh's thoughts, ethics, and style, striving to fulfill their assigned duties.

Subsequently, the delegation visited the Monument to the Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son Street, reverently offering incense and laying wreaths in memory of the martyrs who bravely sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation and the happiness of the people.

The wreath bore the inscription “Eternal gratitude to the heroic martyrs”, expressing deep appreciation for the generations who contributed and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, unification, and defense.

The activities of visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and offering incense in memory of the heroic martyrs are annual events of profound significance on National Day, contributing to educating the tradition of patriotism and the principle of “When drinking water, remember its source”. It also reminds each official, party member, civil servant, and employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of their responsibility to continue the legacy of previous generations.

Building on the glorious 81-year tradition of modern Vietnamese diplomacy, the officials, civil servants, and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continue to unite, proactively and creatively striving to successfully implement the Party and State's foreign policy. They aim to maintain a peaceful and stable environment, maximize external resources, enhance the country's international position and reputation, and make practical contributions to the cause of national construction and defense in the new situation.
