Reviewing the global and foreign affairs landscape over the past year, the Minister noted that despite the complex and intense international and regional developments, peace, cooperation, and development remain major trends.

In this context, Vietnam's foreign affairs have continued to achieve significant accomplishments, adhering to the Party's comprehensive foreign policy with three pillars: Party diplomacy, state diplomacy, and people-to-people diplomacy. These efforts have played a crucial role in maintaining a peaceful and stable environment, effectively serving development goals, and continuously enhancing the country's international stature and reputation. The Minister also affirmed that the organization and structure of the Foreign Affairs sector have been systematically implemented, enhancing advisory capacity and coordination in executing tasks in the new situation.

Looking ahead, Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung emphasized that the country is entering the "Era of Rising" with ambitious development goals, requiring high growth, breakthroughs, and comprehensive international integration at a new level.

To realize these aspirations and goals, the Minister highlighted the "pioneering" and "core" role of the diplomacy sector in creating and maintaining a peaceful and stable environment, contributing to generating comprehensive strength for the country to advance into a new development era. Notably, with external affairs and international integration identified for the first time as a "key, regular task" alongside national defense and security in the Party's strategic documents, the Minister asserted that this task simultaneously poses an urgent requirement for comprehensive foreign affairs implementation at a new level in the upcoming phase.

On this occasion, Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung expressed gratitude and appreciation for the effective support and cooperation of news and press agencies over the past year. The Minister affirmed that the country's achievements include the important role and contributions of the press and agencies involved in external information and communication.

The Foreign Minister especially commended the press and external information teams for proactively conveying the Party and State's messages, policies, and foreign affairs guidelines; being perceptive in providing, synthesizing, and analyzing new international developments; and effectively countering false narratives.

Faced with new requirements in external affairs, the Foreign Minister hopes that press agencies and various committees, ministries, and sectors will continue to accompany the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in innovating and enhancing the effectiveness of external information, meeting the tasks in the new situation.
