The two Ministers highly valued the cooperation results between the two Foreign Ministries in 2025, marking the 10th anniversary of the Strategic Partnership establishment. They agreed to continue promoting the relationship to new heights, implementing high-level and various-level delegation exchanges across all Party, State, National Assembly, and people-to-people channels, and enhancing bilateral cooperation mechanisms like the Vietnam-Philippines Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation. These efforts aim to meaningfully commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2026.
Both sides agreed to further strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, digital transformation, agriculture, and maritime and ocean cooperation. The Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs affirmed support for Vietnam's efforts to combat illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

The two sides agreed to continue close coordination at international and regional multilateral forums such as ASEAN and the United Nations. Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung affirmed support for the Philippines in successfully assuming the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2026.
Discussing international and regional issues, the two Ministers shared deep concerns over the escalating tensions at the Cambodia-Thailand border. They emphasized the importance of restraint, enhancing dialogue, reducing tensions, ensuring security and safety for the people, and resolving disputes peacefully based on international law and existing regional agreements and mechanisms. They highlighted the need to promote practical initiatives to contribute to maintaining a peaceful, stable, secure, and developing environment in the region and the world. Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung expressed readiness to continue working with the Philippines as the ASEAN Chair in 2026 and other ASEAN member countries to maintain ASEAN's unity and central role.
