Welcoming the visit of State Secretary Dr. Geza Andreas von Geyr amidst the positively developing Vietnam-Germany Strategic Partnership, Minister Le Hoai Trung expressed confidence that the visit and the outcomes of the Strategic Dialogue session would contribute to strengthening political trust, enhancing mutual understanding, and providing further impetus for the deep, substantive, and effective development of bilateral relations in the future.
Thanking German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul for sending a congratulatory letter on the occasion of his new appointment by the 16th National Assembly, Minister Le Hoai Trung affirmed that Vietnam always values its relationship with Germany – a country with significant roles in Europe and globally, and one of Vietnam's leading partners in Europe.
The Minister emphasized that Vietnam appreciates Germany's valuable support in the nation's construction and development process, including development cooperation, human resource training, and the early and effective presence of German businesses in Vietnam.
Building on the strong relationship, Minister Le Hoai Trung suggested that both sides continue to innovate their thinking and methods of cooperation; enhance delegation exchanges, high-level contacts, and strategic consultations; and effectively leverage their complementary strengths in areas such as trade and investment, defense and security, science and technology, education and training, and human resource development...

For his part, State Secretary Dr. Geza Andreas von Geyr highly appreciated the outcomes of the 8th Strategic Dialogue, with substantive and in-depth exchanges; affirming that Germany considers Vietnam a top partner in the region.
The State Secretary emphasized that in the context of complex international and regional developments, the trusted Vietnam-Germany partnership is significant for the interests of both nations as well as for peace, stability, and development in both regions. People-to-people exchanges form an important foundation for the Vietnam-Germany relationship, contributing to enhanced mutual understanding and respect, and creating favorable conditions for expanding cooperation in the new phase.
Both sides agreed to further deepen the Vietnam-Germany Strategic Partnership; enhance delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels; and promote the role of the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs in monitoring and urging the implementation of specific agreements, commitments, and cooperation projects.
Engaging in extensive discussions on international and regional topics, both sides concurred that in the current rapidly changing, complex, and unpredictable global situation, parties need to strengthen dialogue, consolidate political trust, and further deepen cooperative relations.
