| Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung speaking at the National Great Unity Day 2025 at Da Le Neighborhood, Hue. |
In his speech at the event, Minister of Foreign Affairs Trung emphasized the special significance of the National Great Unity Day in fostering the tradition of solidarity, connecting officials with the people, and contributing to strengthening the national unity bloc. He also praised the efforts of Da Le Neighbourhood over the past year in maintaining cultural movements, protecting the environment, caring for the poor, promoting education, and showing solidarity in responding to and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.
The Foreign Minister pointed out that Da Le Neighbourhood has a rich cultural and historical tradition. Notably, Da Le Village Hall is an architectural heritage site of value, preserving many precious artifacts and serving as a cultural and spiritual space closely linked to the community life of Da Le residents through various periods. Preserving and restoring the village hall along with traditional festival activities contributes to preserving cultural identity and strengthening the grassroots unity bloc.
"In the context of the nation entering a new phase with significant reforms, we must cherish, preserve, and promote the power of great unity. In 2025, together with the entire Party, people, and military, we have undertaken many important tasks, including restructuring and streamlining the administrative apparatus, implementing a two-tier local government model – a step towards streamlining the apparatus, enhancing management efficiency, and fostering closer ties between the government and the grassroots," Minister of Foreign Affairs Trung emphasized.
In this context, he noted, the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Front's working committee at the residential area becomes even more crucial. They serve as the bridge between the people and the government, listening to, reflecting on the aspirations, caring for the people's lives, and promoting their right to mastery.
Expressing admiration for the responsibility and solidarity of Da Le residents in responding to recent natural disasters, where the Front's working committee of Da Le Neighborhood directly mobilized and supported residents in overcoming the aftermath, cleaning up, and preventing disease post-flood, Minister of Foreign Affairs Trung stated that these practical actions vividly demonstrate the tradition of “the good leaves protect the worn-out ones” and the spirit of national unity.
